A set of 30 question card prompts that can be used as a starter activity, induction week style ‘Get to know each other’ activity. Cards can be used to suit your lesson but could be used by; Giving a card to each student and ask them to move around the room asking their question to a variety of people to start discussion. You can either get them to ask and remember as many as possible in a given time, or time the discussions and ask them to swap in a speed-dating style. Students can keep the same card, or swap cards as they move around the room. Cards should be printed A6 size or 4-6 per page. Cards are saved in PDF format and are not editable. 30 cards in total with dark navy, clear typed font. Example prompts; ‘Find out what year someone else would time travel to and why?’ ‘Find out someones favourite book.’ ‘Find out someone else’s favourite TikTok dance move.’ Cards could be used for ages 11+ but have been initially created for aged 16+ students who have started a new college and do not know other students in their class yet.

Introduction to Fashion Sustainability: A 10 slide Powerpoint presentation with statistics, key language and key themes around the fashion industry and sustainbility. An excellent resource for a BTEC Vocational or GCSE Textile course to introduce a range of students to the product lifecycle, water consumption, chemicals and fabrics amongst other sustainble issues and solutions. The powerpoint would work as an excellent introduction to a research project, poster presentation or more detailed content into specific sustainability processes. Resource is produced in clear font with bright and engaging slides and colour palette. The resource downloads as a PDF. Produced in UK English but also functional in US English. Resource includes Intent, Implementation and Impact opening slide and followed by information slides with some imagery. The slides are mostly text and info-graphic based. The resource could be added to other existing resources or images you already use or other online content as an information hand out.

Instructions include; setting up your document in photoshop, hue/saturation adjustments, Cropping and Cutting images and how to apply to figure templates to create Design Ideas and Design Development. Used initially in a Level 3 Year 1 class. Demonstrated each task step by step and provided students with time to play and practice with tools shown. Lesson could be over 2-3 weeks to allow slower progression if required. Handout was used across single 1.5hr lesson initially. PDF Download. Preview images provided. Could be used in GCSE Textiles, Design or Level 1-3 Vocational Further Education courses.

A Powerpoint Brief for a Dream Employer Design Challenge. Focussing on Textiles/Art and Design/Fashion/Interior Design students are given a Dream Employer brief to consider their career and progression and to design a collection for their dream brand to work for. The powerpoint includes instructions to produce 4 design boards which can be presented at the end of the week. Images are referenced with links where other online examples have been used. Visuals are bright and engaging and links with Industry and career development. Download is in PDF format.

The worksheet is based on creative sketchbook work to be reviewed. The handout is relevant for T-Level/BTEC/A-level/Vocational Fashion/Textiles/Art/Design subjects.
